These courses are in the Western Suburbs of Chicago. Located West of Interstate 294 and South of Interstate 90, some of Chicago’s newest and best public golf courses can be found within easy driving distance of a major Interstate. The area is home to wide open areas, mostly devoid of urban sprawl. Many of these public courses are operated by local park districts or municipalities. Some of the newer courses are part of planned developments, but a nice mix of target, link and parkland courses for any ability and budget are normal. Due to the availability of land, top notch practice facilities are designed with a full golf experience in mind.
